About Us – Land Rover Parts Specialists Since 1979

LR Parts is a family-run Land Rover parts specialist based in Speke, Liverpool. We've been supplying parts for Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles since 1979, growing from a small business serving local enthusiasts into an international operation supplying customers in 158 countries in the last 12 months.

A lot has changed since 1979, but the principle behind the business hasn't:

Know Land Rovers. Know the parts. Help customers buy the right one.

From a Family Home to Merseyside Land Rover

LR Centre Ltd was founded by Bernie and Colette Morris in 1979, initially supplying Land Rover parts to family, friends and local enthusiasts.

As word spread and the stock began to outgrow the family home, the business moved into commercial premises in Speke under the name Merseyside Land Rover.

Over-the-counter sales were joined by an increasingly successful mail-order operation, allowing us to supply Land Rover owners much further afield than Merseyside.

LR Supermarket and a New Way to Buy Parts

In 1994 we became LR Supermarket, coinciding with the opening of what we believe was the world's first walk-around retail shop dedicated specifically to Land Rover and Range Rover parts.

Then another rather significant change arrived: the internet.

LR Centre embraced online selling early enough for founder Bernie Morris to find himself in the newspaper explaining this new way of shopping for Land Rover parts.

Mail order gradually developed into ecommerce, and we've now traded through six generations of our website.

LR Parts Today

Today our online business trades as LR Parts, but behind the website remains more than 45 years of specialist Land Rover parts experience.

We now list almost 270,000 Land Rover and Range Rover parts and accessories online, covering everything from early Series Land Rovers through Defender, Discovery and Freelander to the latest Range Rover and modern Land Rover models.

Behind that catalogue is our Liverpool warehouse, where we physically hold more than 10,000 different product lines at any one time.

From clips, seals, bearings and fixings held in quantity to engines, gearboxes, suspension components, body panels and chassis, we've designed the operation around efficient, high-density stockholding.

In a typical week we process approximately 1,800–2,000 customer orders.

49 People Behind the Website

LR Centre Ltd today employs 49 people in Liverpool, working across our office, parts, customer service, goods-in, warehouse, picking and packing teams.

Many have been here for a considerable time. Our current team includes colleagues with 30, 25, 20, 13 and 10 years of individual Land Rover parts experience, alongside many others developing their own specialist knowledge.

That experience matters because Land Rover parts aren't always straightforward.

Part numbers supersede. VIN breaks matter. Specifications change during production. Genuine, OEM and aftermarket products can differ considerably. And decades of repairs and modifications mean the vehicle in front of you isn't always exactly as it left the factory.

These are the questions our team deals with every day.

Customers can speak to us by telephone, email, support ticket or live chat, or visit our Speke trade counter between 11am and 4pm on weekdays. Click & Collect is also available through LRParts.net.

Genuine, OEM or Aftermarket?

More than 45 years in the parts business has taught us that the cheapest part isn't always the best value – but the Genuine Land Rover box isn't always necessary either.

We maintain long-standing relationships with many of the leading OEM and aftermarket manufacturers supplying the Land Rover industry.

Our range includes Genuine Land Rover parts, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) components, established branded aftermarket products, carefully selected replacements and our own LR Parts kits.

Where there's a meaningful difference between the options, we try to explain it.

There are products where experience has taught us that cheaper alternatives simply don't offer the fit, finish or reliability we expect, so we choose not to sell them. There are others where a quality OEM or aftermarket component represents excellent value compared with the Genuine Land Rover equivalent.

Our job isn't simply to sell you the most expensive option. It's to help you buy the right part.

LR Parts Kits – Built From Experience

Not everything we sell started life with a Land Rover kit number.

Over the years we've created an increasing number of our own LR Parts kits, combining individual components where our experience tells us it makes the job easier for the customer.

That might mean every seal required for a vehicle, the associated parts needed for a particular repair, or several individual accessories brought together into one vehicle-specific package.

Instead of expecting customers to identify half a dozen separate part numbers, we've often already done the parts work for them.

From Showroom to More Space for Parts

The way we use our Speke premises has changed along with the business.

As ecommerce and worldwide despatch grew, space once dedicated to displaying vehicles and products became increasingly valuable for the day-to-day operation.

The same area being transformed as a new mezzanine was constructed – making better use of the space as the online and warehouse operation continued to grow.

LR Live – Actually Fitting the Parts We Sell

Our product knowledge doesn't stop at a parts catalogue.

Our Marketing Manager Fraser fronts LR Live, our YouTube channel dedicated to Land Rovers.

Across more than 550 videos, Fraser fits and demonstrates many of the products we sell, tackles repairs and upgrades, and takes old, tired Land Rovers through complete projects to create vehicles worthy of the Land Rover name.

LR Live now has more than 45,000 subscribers, with some individual videos watched more than 500,000 times.

Actually fitting products gives us information that isn't always obvious from a catalogue: what comes in the box, how something fits, what causes difficulty and what a customer really needs to know before starting the job.

We increasingly use that first-hand experience to improve the information on our product pages.

Land Rovers aren't simply something we deal with between 9 and 5 either. Across our staff and company vehicles you'll find everything from a Discovery 1 and Discovery 2 to a Range Rover Sport SVR, Discovery 4 and Defender Camper.

From Liverpool to 158 Countries

Our customers range from private owners and home mechanics to independent Land Rover specialists, workshops, restorers, dealers and expedition businesses.

In the last 12 months alone, LR Parts has supplied customers in 158 countries.

We work with Global-e to make international ordering straightforward. When an international customer orders online, shipping, applicable taxes and import duties are calculated and paid at checkout.

The price shown at checkout is therefore the amount the customer pays, with no additional customs charges on arrival.

Approximately 99% of our shipments are carried by DHL.

DHL isn't the cheapest carrier available to us – and that's deliberate. We choose our principal carrier for its speed, tracking, international reach and reliability rather than simply choosing the lowest-cost option.

Trusted by Thousands of Customers

LR Parts has received more than 17,500 independent Trustpilot reviews, with a rating of 4.7 out of 5 and more than 87% awarding five stars.

Customers regularly highlight fast delivery, knowledgeable staff, ease of finding the correct parts and product quality.

Maintaining that level of feedback across the volume and variety of products we supply is something we're extremely proud of.

More Than One Family

LR Parts began as a family business, and that remains a genuine part of its character today.

Many of the 49 people working here are connected through family or long-standing friendships. Across the company you'll find husbands and wives, parents and children, brothers and sisters, cousins, in-laws and groups of close friends working alongside one another.

Much of that has grown naturally through the way we've recruited over the years: good people recommending other good people they already know and trust.

So when we describe LR Parts as family-run, it means more than simply having one family represented on the board.

The Morris family remains at the heart of the business. Founder Bernie Morris has owned everything from Series Land Rovers to a Forward Control 101 and today drives a Range Rover Velar.

His sons James and Paul Morris are Directors of LR Centre Ltd, working alongside Managing Director Neill Melia in running the company.

The vehicles have changed considerably since 1979.

The enthusiasm for them hasn't.
